I'd be shocked if your md doesn't have a chrono.
That sounds like a gun/ammo combo that SHOULD work just fine, I just don't want to give you a false sense of security and have it come back to bite you on a match that you're likely paying hundreds of dollars to attend.
If you want your own little chrono/bullet weighing setup, you should be able to get all the 'stuff' (chrono, bullet puller, small scale with grains readout) for about $100 and be 'close enough' - I'm assuming you don't have the parts that crossover into reloading since you are using factory ammo.
