I'm an avid cyclist - have mountain biked all over central California and the foothills, a lot of road biking, commuting, etc. So, I wanted to involve my daughter in my favorite outdoors activity (actually, probably my second favorite activity, the first of which led to her creation...)

Anyway, I waited until she could sit up on her own and support herself and then picked up a trailer. I got the Burley Bee - it's light, inexpensive and folds down for storage or transport. I also purchased The Snuggler, which gave her much more support while riding around. The most important thing I did was take her to well paved, NON-road areas to ride. Never, ever, did I take her on the street (and still haven't).

Then we just took it slow. She was usually good for 30-45 minutes, especially if I took her close to her nap time :). She'd fall asleep if I did it that way usually.

I will probably take her out again for the first time in a while this weekend. She's 20 months now so it will be a different experience for both of us, but should be fun overall.
