I'm gonna agree with the others, in your price range you are looking at really cheap, Chinese made damascus. Those knives are mostly decorative. If that's what you want, there's plenty on Amazon.
If it were me, I'd want to give something of better quality, even if it was less showy. There's plenty of small folders in your price range, or even traditional knives, that will outlast the owner.
