I bought the 40 liter version of this pack ($23.88) for the same reason; to test out frameless. 40 liter version has a hip belt that I added Zpack's padded pockets to. There's a compartment along the back which is probably for a hydration bladder but I put a Z-Seat folded into 4 section in there. Seems to work very well especially for warm weather overnights when total weight is around 10lbs. Since it's held up so far, I've never seen the need to upgrade it.
