I've been using (an older version of) this Croozer for the last couple years:
http://www.amazon.com/Croozer-Designs-Green-Grey-Black/dp/B004339K74/
I use it every day (not for very long distances though) and I'm happy with it.
Got it used at maybe 10% of retail price. Kids outgrow them and some people use them less than they thought, so there are probably good deals out there for you.
It rolls smoothly and is light enough compared to what I weight it down with. Last trip was both kids and five bags of groceries.
The wheel for the stroller is a bit rattly on rough pavement, I'd use the jogger wheel for longer (1 mile +) trips on foot but that rarely happens.
As for reliability, it's worked (through winter and summer) for me so far without any special care, except the extra safety strap wore out and fell off - it was pretty raggedy already when I bought it. I've never had the main attachment disengage so I don't worry about it.
I latch it on a few times a day, it's quick enough that I don't really think about it. A drop of oil now and then makes it slide on easier. Ours came with an extra attachment which is useful.
