I never did puppy training classes, but I know they're helpful for a lot of people, so it's good you're starting soon! But you do seem to have things under control, so don't worry; none of these are "big potato" problems.

  1. She is very unlikely to grow out of barking. In my experience, dogs bark MORE as they leave puppyhood, not less. A suggestion = do some research on teaching "speak." Strangley enough, teaching "speak" is a good way to teach "quiet." If you Google something like "teaching dog speak to stop barking" you'll probably find some more information on this. As for the napping, you're doing the right thing by crating her to enforce a nap. At this age, she doesn't know when she's tired and will just get more cranky if she's tired. So keep on crating her when she seems tired and fussy, if that's the only way to settle her down.
  2. Get a metal leash. She won't enjoy biting it as much. Later on, when she's broken the habit of leash-biting, you can switch back to a regular leash. Easy fix. (Note: a metal leash is one thing, but I don't like metal collars for dogs, I think they're harsh on their skin). Something like this should do the trick: https://www.amazon.com/CtopoGo-Heavy-Padded-Handle-Medium/dp/B07922TLGM/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_199_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=QRRP1NQEAZ6543B81JH3
  3. Pushing her off the couch isn't teach her to get off the couch, because you're doing the action, not her. Grab a treat and walk away from the couch. Say "off," hold the treat out so she can see it, and give it to her when she comes. You may need to repeat this a LOT. You may want to keep a sealed jar of soft, tasty treats next to your couch for this purpose for the next few weeks. Also, you may want to add a hand signal as well as the word "off." I find my dog responds much better when I add a hand signal (for my dog, I say "off" and point at the ground when I want her off something).
