I bought a Dakine bag off amazon much like this one: Dakine for traveling to Co last winter for a trip. I packed my pants, jacket, boots in there and it all made it fine. The clothes and boots protected the board a bit. But it still is not the safest of bags, shipping it might be better since you won't need it for a bit.
