You should go with the ESEE6 then: www.amazon.com/ESEE-6P-B-Survival-Micarta-Handle/dp/B004DTWMH8/ref=pd_sim_468_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=41vpikPqK2L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160SR160%2C160&refRID=0JR22YP07JS8KQV9C38C

For a folder, either a Spyderco ParaMilitary 2, Benchmade Freek, or a ZT 0350 will all be top-quality knives that can take a helluva beating.

For a fixed blade, either an ESEE 6 or a Fallkniven A1 should handle everything you could ever do to it.

I have the ESEE 6 and it can easily be used to baton, even with some fairly large logs. It is also large enough that it can be used like a hatchet for limbing small branches. It has also been decent enough at smaller tasks like feather sticks and cleaning small game/fish. It's not quite as easy to use as a smaller knife for some tasks and not as nice as a hatchet in some tasks, but it will do everything good enough all the time and is really nice if I can only take one item.

I use a pullsaw and a big knife or axe. I have an Esee 6, though I've used a Fiskars X7 in the past, and I'm currently lusting over a Skrama.

Anything else is too much. Truthfully, an axe is mostly unnecessary. You can cut logs with the pullsaw and split them into firewood by batoning with the knife.
