I dunno man, calling them a bargain when compared to $350 Italian Whatevers kinda stacks the deck. For some reason, I'm reminded of those people who say they had a good day at the casino because they only lost $100.
Sorry, I just have trouble filing any item that has such limited use, and that's so easily lost, scratched or broken under any category besides disposable goods, along with beach sandals, Bic lighters and those portable ponchos you wear at rainy baseball games. Do they, you know - dim the sunlight and make it easier to see? Have UV protection? Not look stupid, maybe even good? Cool, gimme a cheap, three pack. A year from now, I might even still have a pair.
I don't think there's anything that smacks of a douchey, crass status symbol for the insecure and gullible as much as over-priced sunglasses. They're the Humvees of the optical world.
