I was just scrolling through the Best Buy site and saw that the NVIDIA GTX 1080 Founders Edition was available! Hopefully this has helped someone finish their gaming rig!

This isn't that much more then I paid for it if you're interested:

I paid roughly $817 CAD + tax

You're welcome.

I also found it on Amazon.es.

Here.

What is your local Amazon? Maybe I can help find it so you don't spend a fortune on postage AND if you ever need to return for warranty that won't be super expensive either.

If you have a Thunderbolt 3 port, pick up one of these. Mine handles everything I throw at it on my HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 notebook. Amazon Warehouse deals are great.

Disclaimer: If you don't run it to an external monitor, performance drops by a good 25% or so, as I understand it. It drives my 3440x1440 monitor at 90-100Hz really well, though.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I think I might do what 8_BIT_FOND suggested as another option and go with a [Lenovo Yoga 720 $1339] (https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Yoga-15-6-Touch-Screen-Thunderbolt/dp/B072M22XK8) and a [Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080 Gaming Box $699] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076PZ6PRK/ref=psdc_284822_t1_B073PYMG3G). I don't understand why the gtx1080 box is cheaper than the 1070, but whatever.. Only $100 more for the 1080 than the 1060. I have no idea, but it seems like a good deal : \

I just need to figure out if it will work together. I'll probably be dragging my feet for a month or three. In the meantime, maybe NMS will get the shit optimized out of it and will run adequately enough for me without needing the egpu box (ha ha).

Just GTX1080, I have not yet ever bought a Ti. I usually like to get one level down on the product stack. I can turn shadows and post-processing to low and grass to off.

I have the GTX 1080 that was in the Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080 Gaming Box (GV-N1080IXEB-8GD). I needed another graphics card, and it has a fan that would hit motherboard components on non-ITX motherboards. The empty box is currently just a USB-C laptop charger, but could hold a card for M.2(M) SSDs.

It has solved my i7-8700k cooing problems as the case temperatures are so low by comparison with my GTX1080 FE blower. Both cards use about 220 Watts, with Aorus GTX1080 hitting the power limit and the FE GTX1080 hitting my noise limit.

Interesting, how is the noise level and character at load?

It would be nice if they made a 115x version with a vapor chamber, but they do not.
