I got tiny fairy lights off amazon that have a remote and built in time for 2,4,6,8 hours and they’ve worked well for me! I leave super early mornings often so once my guinea pigs are up, I leave the lights on a 4 hr timer until it’s light out again. I was able to run them through the top of my cage so that they are too high for them to bite or anything! The lights are dimable too if you don’t want it too bright! Good luck
