After my c section I lived in these pajamas and ones similar to them. These ones in particular are super soft and the bottoms are a higher rise so I was able to have them above my belly button while still covering my butt cheeks completely. The waist band is elastic but also has a draw string in case you need them tighter. The button down top is perfect if you're nursing/pumping. I've had them since early August and wash them weekly and they haven't shrunk and the button holes for the top are still tight, which is nice because the ones I got from Target won't stay buttoned anymore. I'm 5 ft 3 in and weighed 180 after birth and got the XL. I would also recommend high rise underwear. Your hospital will give you mesh panties but get some underwear for when those run out.
