I did the same thing on my XJ. Made a huge difference.

I bought these originally for my YJ but then sold it for the Cherokee. The Cherokee lights were even worse!

Did you go with floods or spots? The one complaint I have is the flood pattern is too broad but they're great for night wheeling. I think I'm going to add a 6" bar between the two that's a spot/flood combo.
