A decent 2.0 should make a bit difference in your TV viewing. The problem is the budget tight at $300. The 540 is perfect for a entry level system and if you can get it for $220 then it's a good option.

The Pioneers that were linked would be a great option and the most affordable. If you wanted something different then two of the Micca MB42X-C $90 would be good but would push the budget pretty high.

If you wanted to just totally blow the budget and get something really nice I would go with the KEF Q150 $400 that seem to be on sale right now.

Amazon only has the white ones on sale but you can get black on the KEF site.

Sorry for the fugly links my phone isn’t working properly today.

There’s also some JBL powered monitors on sale, you’d have to get two of these and some extra kit, but they’re also highly regarded...

I'm going to be buying the following:

KEF Q150 - Amazon

Klipsch R12SW - Amazon

Yamaha A S501 - Amazon

They're going to be going into my PC.

I would like to know whether i would need to buy any extra cables in order to make it all work properly? Or does everything come ready to connect in the boxes?

I'm a complete audio noob, and this is going to be my first setup, so please bare with me.

Thanks.
