As far as tools and parts, I have a tool cart that has most of my commonly used tools. In the drawers, I keep the plastic cases that the sets came in (screwdrivers, magnetic extensions, socket sets, torx/hex set, long nose plier sets, etc). On the outside I have magnetic bars screwed to the top boarder on the sides and back that hold my wrenches, ratchets, swivel sockets, pliers (even 2 pairs of the big ass knipex cobras). Everything has a place. Bottom of the cart has my hammers, impact, grinders, and so on. While working, the top of my cart has a large shallow rubber-ish drawer organizer from Mac for nuts/bolts ~ 18 compartments in increasing sizes and a long/wide compartment on one side. Each component I take off, I put the corresponding hardware in each compartment, going from left to right. Then, I use the long/wide compartment to keep my used wrenches and sockets. Putting stuff back together goes a lot quicker going from right to left through the compartments, so you don't get ahead of yourself and have to pull something off again and never any spare bolts because you know where every compartment goes. If you want pics or part numbers, I can provide them.
As far as gloves, the best I've found are these. They are very tactile and can get in very tight places. They're extremely durable, flexible, and fit your hand perfectly based by size. They also have a breathable mesh on the back, so your hands don't get sweaty. The life of one pair usually lasts ~2 weeks, then I cycle in a clean pair for doing non grease/liquids and retire the older pair for oil changes. The pads never tear or rip, the wear is usually when they get soiled from the back or the mesh gets a little tattered. If you get grease/oil on the fingers/palm I just brake clean and wipe it off and it's good as new. If I'm doing brake lines or coolant, anything messy, I still use disposable nitrile gloves.
