You will need to buy [this] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00409SOEG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_0qqyzbSC3S0ZJ), a [MIDI cable] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000068NTU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_DxqyzbANWA7P9), and your ekit of choice. Personally I use an [Alesis Nitro] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0187KO8X4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Ouqyzb3MWEEWY) because I had budgeted about $450 overall (I also bought a nice [drum throne] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000UJE6UG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_5wqyzbNYC90S3)
). I'm using the $450 because on Xbox One I also had to buy the $30 adapter.

It most likely just works with Rock Band 2 & 3. But realistically RB3 is all you need. You can load up to 1000 songs on the game via a SD card up to 32gb (or use your emunand if you know what your doing with a modded wii).

Let's go though it step by step of what I think you should do. We'll leave the drums while last.

Firstly the mics. Rock Band 3 supports up to 3 at one time, RB2/Guitar Hero support only 1. The Wii ONLY supports the basic logitech USB mics, they are multi-platform and a dime dozen on eBay and can be had for under $5 each. Here's link for a valid eBay search.

Next the Guitars. I'd recommend getting 2 Guitar Hero World Tour/Band Hero/5 guitars as they are quite common, well built, work with all Guitar Hero games as well as Rock Band 2/3 and do not require dongles as they use the nunchuck port on wii remotes.

If you want to pull the trigger now, the Red GH5 models are your best bet as they are the newest of this style of 'axe' and have improved touch sensors for slider (for solos on GH games World Tour and newer). I've took the liberty of finding you 2 these that are complete 1/2 ($30 for the pair).

So far that's $45 for 3 mics and 2 guitars (possibly even $40 if you shop around on the mics).

Now onto the drums. Firstly buy a RB3 Midi module and a GH5/WOR/BH Drum module. I've found one of each for you at a good price (about $40 for the pair). These two adaptors will let you use a real ekit with every Guitar Hero game World Tour or newer as well as Rock Band 2/3. (Only RB1 and the track packs would be off limits, but those are pretty crap on the Wii anyways).

At this point I'd recommend saving up for the Alesis Nitro drum kit at $300 new. It's great value and very popular with the RB community if you ever needed support with it on here.

For drumming the in the mean time I've found you a band hero kit that's incomplete but only missing the adaptor I linked earlier to make it work for $35. Not ideal but would serve you well whilst you saved up for an electronic kit.

So to sum up, a full band kit for about $120 with all the equipment required to upgrade to a real kit at a later date. Hope this helps :)
