It's actually just a super cheap chinese mechanical keyboard. Cool lighting but not full rgb.

I bought my mom this setup for her mac a while ago:

and a basic softpad.
She loves it.
If your mom never experienced a mech keyboard in her life, typing on a blue switch KB (even a cheap one) is very satisfying.
There was a promo code for [this] (https://www.amazon.com/MechanicalEagle-Multicolor-Mechanical-Keyboard-Switches/dp/B01DBVGZSA) That was supposed to take 8$ off, but instead made it 8$. Some people grabbed a bunch, one guy tested an order of 27 (The limit was 9 of each) and it went through. I got a black and a white, it's great but loud, love the lighting too
You don't need to spend $200 to get a good mechanical keyboard nowadays. I bought this one for $26 on a flash sale and this $37 one is pretty well regarded as far as cherry mx clones go.
I was also coming from a membrane keyboard from a pre-built HP computer from 2003. The difference is night and day. There's no way I can go back to membrane now.

It is possibly the cheapest mechanical keyboard I've ever seen, but it performs as well as my previous one which I paid about twice as much for. It looks pretty and everyone wants to play with it when they come over and see it for the first time. I love it, but I also wouldn't mind having a smaller keyboard. Might be getting one of these next.

I bought this one for my wife a couple years ago and it's been great. It seems like all of those $30-$40 ones on amazon on very similar too, so it really just comes down to what switches your like and whatever one catches your eye

You're not looking very hard:
Aula Wings of Liberty 104
Redragon K550 Yama 104+extra macros also available with white backlight and no macro
E-Element Z-77 TKL, mixed backlight also available as white backlight only
Rapoo V500 Pro TKL also available in RGB form
There's a dozen more.
PC specs:
AMD A8-7600 (nothing special but I don't really need the CPU power. Graphics compute cores disabled)
8GB Corsair Vengaence DDR3 1866
Gigabyte Windforce 280X 3GB GDDR5
PNY XLR8 240GB SSD for OS + WD Caviar Green 2TB for Media/Page file + 500GB Seagate for Games
LG 25UM58-p 1080p ultrawide OC'd to 75 hz. Doesn't have speakers, but does have a headphone out, so I run a cable from the monitor to the amp to get audio when playing PS4 games.
Mouse is a James Donkey.
Keyboard is a knock off E-Element with Outemu blue switches, Keycaps replaced because the font on the stock ones is terrible.
Oh, you were talking about CAD? Those keyboards run for like 56 moose dollars. Here are two of them (mine is the second but in black):
Tomoko
Z-77
Got this keyboard that I'll ship for like.. $30? It's been in use for a month.
I got a reply for this think it's a good idea?

This is cheap and very solid construction if you're okay with blue switches (Loud as fuck)
these are all 100+ CAD... :( is this keyboard any good? https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01DBVGZSA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'm looking to buy my first mechanical keyboard ever (woo!) and I've found myself down to two choices:
this $56 Outemu blue switch (edited the link to actually lead to the outemu)
or the $80 Ducky One TKL
Both look great, but I can't find much information on Outemu switches vs Cherry switches. The RGB on the Outemu looks great, but the other one seems more reputable and reliable. Any insight would be appreciated, just trying to get the best value :D
Does anyone know if these gateron switches will work with this keyboard since it has swappable switches. Will the gateron switches fight into the board?

I'm looking at these two keyboards:
Teamwolf 87 Key Gaming Mechanical Keyboard
MechanicalEagle Z-77 Multicolor Backlit 87 Keys
Which are both kind of what I am looking for :
But I realize that with the low price point AND the fancy gizmos, I'm "paying less" for the actual components in the board, thus suggesting that they might be lower quality.
Anyone have experience with these boards? Or have something to suggest that hits the same characteristics (in Canada).
Thanks
Hello everyone, I have a dream of buying the MechanicalEagle Z-77 and putting different keycaps on them. I was wondering if cherry mx blue keycaps would fit on this keyboard sinds it has cherry mx blue switches knock offs.
Here is a link to the keyboared: https://www.amazon.de/MechanicalEagle-Mechanische-Tastatur-87-Tasten-Mechanical/dp/B01DBVGZSA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1482937574&sr=8-3&keywords=MechanicalEagle%2BZ-77&th=1
I think this keyboard would very sick with some matt grey keycaps on them. Thanks in advance.
Question 1: Are there any decent Cherry MX red/brown clones worth looking into? I find a lot of nice layout keyboards from mystery Chinese vendors, but I don't want an awful experience for half the price.
Question 2: Any recommendations on just the left side of a keyboard?
RIGHT SHIFT, RIGHT ALT, LEFT CONTROL, BACKTICK, 12 discrete FUNCTION KEYS.
EDIT: I guess I'm looking for an 87 key or less keyboard. There are loads of them out there, but /r/mk people seem to be hating on them because the tactile response is different all over the keyboard. Here's some that I've been looking at.

EDIT: omg, I need to stop. I can't determine if these small layout keyboards can have their switches replaced or if new low profile keycaps are even an option.
It does though, if you're speaking about the keyboard OP posted about. I have the white version and I love it
Unless you're speaking of a white version of the "87-RGB Balck" that's on amazon then I can't speak about that.
This one was recommended to me. It's probably the best for the money. And I misread your post in a way. I thought you were looking for a very good keyboard for $50 expecting some sort of crazy find for cheap. My bad OP.
I just bought a cheap chinese-made mech too that also has outemu blue switches. This one in particular. Pretty much the same price and I'm surprised how nice it is.
https://www.amazon.com/MechanicalEagle-Multicolor-Mechanical-Keyboard-Switches/dp/B01DBVGZSA/
$42, but no number pad. Not too big of an issue in my opinion for the price at least, and they come in black and white.
