You could go with a smart wifi relay switch that would be installed in the ceiling space above each of the 2 fixtures or within the housing of the existing fixtures (if it fits). The only issue with this is that the local switch would always have to be turned on and you wont have any control of the fixtures physically. You would only be able to control the fixtures with your phone or Google/Alexa.
