I hate overpriced cables.
It's pricier because it tends to be a lot harder to maintain high bitrates without drops at further distances, so those cables probably go through a lot more R&D and testing before they get certified. Here's one from Monoprice at that distance though:

Yes, that's definitely the cable you want at 15 feet passing 4K HDR. For any shorter cables go with the 6 foot Certified Premium over the 3 foot ones. Monoprice offers a slim line 6 footer CP for hard to reach places.
Unfortunately many manufacturers will slap on the "High Speed" or "Premium High Speed" to regular HDMI cables and face little to no consequences.
You want to look for
Premium High Speed HDMI Cable (18Gbps)
But make sure it comes with certification labels, like the following from Monoprice Premium High Speed HDMI

Note that some manufacturers make 18Gbps cables but skip the certification to save money, but that makes them hard to find without trial and error.
Damn..
Oh I didn’t know that, how do you know if a movie has Dolby Vision if it doesn’t say it on the cover?
I figured as much, I really didn’t want to have to spend that much but it’s looking like I’ll have to. Wish me luck convincing the wife lmao
Also I’ll need a HDMI cable about 5m/15ft, will that length affect picture quality at all? Are you able to recommend any? We don’t have Monoprice in Australia though
Edit: just found this, will this do? https://www.amazon.com.au/Monoprice-115430-Certified-Premium-18Gbps/dp/B01GCGKFBY/ref=mp_s_a_1_11?keywords=monoprice+hdmi&qid=1571695558&sr=8-11

So yeah passive.
It's not really feasible to move the PC closer. I can try at 1080p for a bit and do direct PC to TV though.
Thanks.
