Basically just a basic vanilla whey protein powder, should be fairly neutral flavour for smoothies and most types of baking.
ON has a natural line that I use bc I can’t stand really sweet either - no artificial sweeteners, so it’s really not sweet at all. Just chocolate and vanilla available though; they’re both good.

I say go with ON Gold Standard Naturally flavored Whey (or Casein, I take both). They taste extremely well, no after taste and very rich in flavor. Don't get a protein shake you're going to have to hold your nose to drink. Drinking it should be like a treat, a reward for kicking ass at the gym. Check the whey here
Plus, on Keto you can add protein powder to Keto pancakes, make Keto cookies with the powder, etc. It's an easier way to sneak in extra grams of protein
Actually they're probably the cheapest protein source possible. Mine are about $1 apiece. $52 for 68 servings, mix with 8oz of milk or whatever. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QQA0H3S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_j0HtybTWF9GK3

I've been using this the last couple years. I tried to go more natural. I used Orgain for a while, but it started to give me insanely bad gas lol
I mix powder with fruit so I'm not too concerned about the taste.
Good protein isn't the cheapest thing ever. The $15 for a big tub junk usually taste bad and doesn't mix well. Protein quality is lower too.
I'd try out a 2 pound bucket of whatever you choose and see if you like it. A 5lb bucket last me like 3 months.
[Update]
Just lost a pants size which is awesome. I'll list what workout plan I do as well as what supplements, etc... I'm doing. Hope this helps! :D
