Yes, as in the 1" wide ones you use to tie loads down on your truck. I'm going to guess you could buy several for about 20$. FYI if you need longer than 15' (you don't, not for a few years anyway) just tie 2 together and use one ratchet.

I planted some cascade about 3 years ago. I unfortunately moved this year but I did have the plant for 3 years.. growing happily on a ratchet strap tied off to a tall 2x4. I did not get fancy with my trellis. I got a 12' 2x4 and banged it into the ground about 4' with a sledgehammer. Then I put a nail in the end of it and hooked a tie down on it. I put another stake in the ground about 6-8 feet away, and planted my rhizomes there. The vine climbed the strap with no trouble. These things are aggressive, rugged plants. Don't worry about them having a hard time hanging onto something.. worry about them taking over your backyard ; )
