I feel like an obsessive teenager and I need your help....please.
This will be my first Mechanical.

What I currently use:
Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000

What I'm looking for:

-Price Preferably under 100, willing to go to 120.

  • Full (Work with accounting)

  • Cherry XM Brown (I like the low force, quiet, slight tactical feel. If there is something which offers this. Cherry's are the only switch around me I've been able to go to a store and get a feel for)

  • White

  • RGB Backlit

  • Metal Frame

  • Low Profile (Not sure if that's the word - not a huge frame)

  • Would enjoy being able to custom the backlit keys, but not a priority.

I would absolutely love to try an ergodox but the price and no keypad is holding me back - maybe down the road.

    I'm currently looking at this:
    Rottay
These keycaps (sometime in the future)
    Dan Ink

Any Comments or Suggestions would be phenomenal to end this endless indecisive search which is taking over my life.

I got this keyboard recently and I love it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074W1QSV2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It has the quieter mechanical switches so it's about as noisy as a regular keyboard

If you're talking about the macro keys on the left side, I know some of the Razer boards do, but they're on the pricey side of "gaming" keyboards. You could also check out some Corsair boards, as I know the K55 has them.

If he'd be willing to consider something that isn't a "mainstream" brand, like this one for example, there are a ton of cheaper options on Amazon. Most keyboards don't have the left side macro keys, but that board I linked is fully programmable. You could make any key do anything you want, pretty much.

My biggest suggestion for your friend is to look around. Put some effort into searching for something that fits his needs, because a keyboard is supposed to last you a long time, and it'd suck to get stuck with one that just does the job.

If you or your friend find something that you're interested in, and you want an outside opinion, I'd be happy to check it out and let you know what I think.

What do you mean? If you mean the keyboard size, there are plenty of full-sized mechanical keyboards, like this one that are around 50$ and come with a numpad and arrow keys
