Also, if you like the hook & loop concept, but can't wait for shooter rucks to come back in stock (if they are coming back, I don't know), it's probably not too hard to sew or glue some hook & loop to an off-the-shelf PALS panel that will integrate with the PALS inside of the standard GR1. Something like this would be a good starting point for such a project:

As a side note, this would make a great GORUCK product if /u/javaforever is interested. That way, people who might want hook & loop wouldn't have to drop $295 for a second ruck. Just a thought.
