You could buy wheels like these. I have a hardwood floor and there is no scratch.
Nothing you can add to the surface of the wood will stop those marks.
You can lessen them by changing the wheels to a softer variety designed for wood floors. It might not help with the pine, but these work great on my oak hardwood (don't leave any marks)
I use these casters. They don't damage my Brazilian cherry. You can get rid off that plastic floor thingy. I don't even know what it's called. Yuck :S.
