I use a small bluetooth amplifier and run speakers to the walls or ceiling. You don't have to worry about voltage with unpowered speakers, just make sure you're mounting them high enough that they don't get wet.

I use this for a simple 2.1 setup I have in my living room, and I absolutely love it .

I have it next to an Amazon fire TV4k (2nd gen) and it has a smaller footprint than the fire TV.

My TV has an optical output, so I use that to get the signal to the tiny amp

It also has Bluetooth so I can stream music from my phone when I'm in the mood to do that
