A holster that is switchable from left to right would do neither well and would suck. Decide which side you're going to draw with and stick with it. There are competing schools of thought on this, but if you're just starting out, with right eye dominance I would recommend shooting right handed even if it feels awkward at first. With enough practice it'll feel more natural.
