I bought the square IKEA LACK table and made a kotatsu using this blanket.
Drapes to the floor, covers your lap nicely.
I purchased this heater to go with it, and this draws a lot less electricity than the standard kotatsu heater. Doesn't get super hot, but works well and was easy to attach with brackets.
