This semester was my student teaching semester. I'm a music major, so I was placed in an elementary school. It took me awhile to really get used to things, but halfway through I seemed to be doing fairly well, and the kids liked me.

Fast forward to my last day. I'm teaching like normal, but it's bittersweet. I had at least three children come up to me and tell me that they want to either be just like me, or sing like me when they grow up. I nearly cried on the spot. There were also children coming in and out of the room all day to give me little scraps of paper, or cards to say how much they loved me and would miss me.

As for being inspired, I was definitely inspired by the chorus kids. At their last meeting, which was more of a party, they gave me a stuffed animal, as well as a big hand made card that they all signed. I decided at that point that I wouldn't let anything stop me from becoming the best teacher I can possibly be.

I've made some big decisions regarding school and moving etc. my boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship, so I'm constantly making hard decisions. I'm in school and he's in the Air Force so neither can move.
