I use one with a similar design from
Secrid. I've had mine for about three years now and it's held up exceptionally well. The build quality is excellent.

The sliding mechanism works perfectly. It is so quick and convenient when using a card to pay, and I can definitely say that it is durable enough to put up with some abuse. I tend to fidget with things when I'm bored and I often use the sliding mechanism to keep my hands busy. No exaggeration, I must have pulled that lever ten thousand times by now, and it still works as if it was new.

When I first got it I thought the size would be very limiting, but it's been perfect for what I need. Holds 5-6 full size cards, and the fold out section is roomy enough for anything I've needed. Inside mine I normally have a small amount of cash, one or two business cards, a few small loyalty cards, and my house key in the inner pocket. All of that fits neatly without effecting the profile of the wallet.

The only time it gets a bit tight is if I need to carry a large amount of cash. 10+ notes will be a stretch. That's not really an issue for me as I use contactless payments for anything I can, but it might be an issue if you need to carry a lot of cash. Though you could probably carry one of these wallets and a money clip and still have a smaller profile than many full size wallets.

Overall I think this type of wallet is fantastic, and I don't ever see myself going back to a regular wallet. I highly recommend the Secrid brand, as it's what I've tried, but I'm sure there are other quality brands too. The Kickstarter you linked looks decent, though I would still recommend giving Secrid a try based on my own experience. I've gifted or recommended them to three people so far and they all still use them and speak very highly of the brand.

EDIT: After reading this back I feel like it may come across as a marketing post. I'd like to clarify that I am in no way affiliated with Secrid. I'm just a big fan of the product.
