$77 on Amazon that's a pretty good deal
try this.
I think it's pretty sleek and classy. Plus it's not super expensive and also water proof. I wear mine in the shower, in the pool... basically I never take it off except for when I play rough sports.
I like that style of the Skagen watch, I have one myself. I'm not a fan of the blue face of the watch though.

Here's a watch of the same style with a different colored face. I think it looks better but that might just be me.
I don't understand the obsession MFA has with Braun watches. They have other industrial designs that look good, but in my opinion, they don't make good looking watches. It is like the designer decided to just take one of those plain white analogue clocks in classrooms and shrink it down to fit on a wrist.
Style is an expression and when I look at these Braun watches, I feel like if I wore one I would be a boring not so interesting kitchen appliance. The font is boring. The layout is boring. The colors are boring.
If you want a cheap clean watch, why not a Skagen? Their designs are much more appealing.
If you want plainness why not go for a basic Citizen?
Heck, if you're going to wear something so boring why not just NOT wear a watch at all? An interesting watch can be a good talking point. Meanwhile a boring watch says "please ignore me, act like I'm not even here."
Personally I like a little more contrast but these are pretty acceptable:

They make a blue face as well:

If you are looking for something thin, have a look at Skagen watches. Only 6mm thin, but they are not automatic.

Try Skagen plain thin small diameter watches. Like this one or one of similar dimensions. Seriously cannot tell you are wearing it.
They mostly make analog though (if you prefer digital) and they can be a little fragile.
I have this Skagen. http://www.amazon.com/Skagen-Mens-233XLTMB-Titanium-Watch/dp/B0007X9F7O/ref=sr_1_1?s=watches&ie=UTF8&qid=1348103097&sr=1-1
I personally really like it. I am a big fan of the minimalist design and keeping it simple. The black goes with a lot of outfits and I've gotten a lot of compliments from girls about it which is always nice. The main concerns I have are the band, which discolors in some spots from the black to a silver. However, it is not too noticeable and Skagen will replace it for $7. Also, I have some very minor scratches on the bezel after about a year and a half of use. The crystal is perfect so far. For a watch that you can get at $60-70 on sale, I think it is great for the money.

I have them both...along with about 40 other watches lol. They have the Seiko NH35a self winding movement in there. Solid daily watches sub $100USD in my opinion.
Also might be worth checking out Skagen if you are a fan of minimalist, light weight watches. I have one in my collection and love it.

Feel free to dm me if you have any questions!
What would you suggest for a guy with a really skinny wrist (2.5 inches wide)?
Also, I had a watch similar to this before I lost it. I really liked the black metal strap, what's the consensus on something like that? Unfortunately it did start to stain from my body oils after about a year.

The pictures don't do it justice, but I cannot recommend this watch more highly. It is notably 6mm, but I offer you a few things to consider:
1 - It requires no batteries, and keeps very accurate time.
2 - Due to the shape of the case, it appears thinner than it is (2mm of the caseback impresses into the wrist).
3 - It lacks a date window. I don't think that you can find a solar-withSHand-and-date at a 4mm size.
4 - 5ATM water resistant (you can shower with it, and it says so in the packaging).
5 - It has an amazingly durable titanium coating. The nature of my life has me regularly rubbing it on concrete and it really doesn't have any scratches yet. Also titanium and thinness makes it super-light (it feels like a toy).
6 - A combination of (4) and (5) generally means that I'm okay with beating the hell out of it.

You might consider the skagen models. Linked watch is 6mm and includes date (but requires a battery). You might also consider the stiletto models which include second hands (they are 5.4mm, such as the SID66).

Some of the old citizen JDM HAQ watches (search for 'quartz' and 'exceed' or 'euros') were very thin (prior to switching over to eco-drive technology. Not sure if they were 4mm-thin though. Might have been in the 5mm range.

Somewhat fundamentally you are going to have to relax your technical specifications somewhat - a hour/minute/second hand is probably ~3mm by itself. Adding glass, caseback, etc. is going to bump the thickness up into the 4mm+ range. Consider the EcoDrive One, which is a $2000+ watch with 1mm movement. They optimized it to be the thinnest watch ever made... at 2.98mm with no second hand. Further, they indicate that the actual watch may be 0.22mm thicker. There were so many technical accomplishments to make that watch that Discovery did a program on it. Further, consider how durable such a product is going to be.
Skagen Slimline Titan in black is your best bet IMHO http://www.amazon.com/Skagen-Mens-233XLTMB-Titanium-Watch/dp/B0007X9F7O/ref=sr_1_6?s=watches&ie=UTF8&qid=1321374849&sr=1-6
