  • Bullets so you can shoot the hurricane out of spite.

  • Fireworks can work for signaling in an emergency, but buying road flares or a flare gun is better.

  • Check all your tools, make sure your chainsaw works, or buy a hand saw. A hatchet can also work well depending on what you're cutting up. I prefer some loppers if possible, way easier than anything else.

  • Gasoline for your tools and your generator. Also used for petrol bombs or bartering with the raiders who arise from the rubble.

  • A generator, because living without power is fine until your phone is dead and you don't have a back-up battery pack.

  • Surge protectors for all computers and electronics, and especially a few UPS' (the power strips with a battery in them)

  • Contractor-grade trash bags to throw branches and small debris into, otherwise you're carrying stuff by hand and making tons of trips.

  • Buy a good flashlight. Not the $5 pack of 4 at Wal-Mart, get something like this for a start. It doesn't need to survive years of damage, it's mostly just going to sit in the kitchen drawer until you need it. Store without batteries, as with all electronics.

  • A whistle or other basic signaling device.

  • Befriend the rednecks with quads, trucks, and stuff like that. It doesn't really help when everybody is busy cleaning up, but they're nice people usually, so that's good.

  • Buy ice bags for your freezer, it'll help stuff last if you need a few more hours to get a generator going or if power is intermittent. Worst case, it melts and you waste $10. Best case, it saves a bunch of food or gives you ice for drinks.

  • Fuzzy blankets because they're fuzzy

This has been a good light for me. I have a couple of them.

Amazon has the Pro version for $48.44. What's the diff between this and the LE?

Edit: seems like 320 vs 400 lumens.

surefire g2x is that price, you would still need a mount though

Edit: the pro is what is linked, has high and low output. If you want high only get the tactical version. They're the same price. Both have momentary/full on tail cap.
