That's a weirdly worded question. "What are the advantages of this device, if we pretend these two advantages don't exist?"
I'm not even saying that the Pen is indisputably better than the Pencil, because I truthfully think they better suit separate needs; the Pencil seems better at actual drawing/painting but little else, and the Pen is better for overall productivity and note-taking but lacks some of the painting precision that the Pencil has.
But here are some of the Pen's advantages.
These are just the ones I can think of at the moment. Again, if we ignore the eraser and the side button. Frankly, I expect that Apple will add some of these features to the Pencil in a generation or two, just as Microsoft will add tilt recognition and better precision to the Pen.
You can get the official 4-pen-tip set, which includes a more roughly textured pen tip designed to help with this (as well as a more slippery one which is meant to be more fluid).

Those are indeed Surface Pen tips for the new Surface Pen. What about them seems wrong to you?
When you pull the tip out of your pen (with your fingers, or tweezers), you'll see the new Surface pen's nib is the same as the HB tip in the set you linked. There's another set that Microsoft sells that I can't seem to find on Amazon.co.uk but can find on Amazon.com that sells a removal tool that can help remove the nib if you can't pull it loose with your fingers.
Stylus pen tip kit
ah, that sucks. Seems it has always been that cheap on amazon. http://camelcamelcamel.com/Microsoft-RJ3-00001-Surface-Pen-Tip/product/B01697GO4S?utm_campaign=chrome_ext&utm_source=&utm_medium=camelizer
I really don't know, but according to this link: http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-RJ3-00001-Surface-Pen-Tip/dp/B01697GO4S#productDescription_secondary_view_div_1453673300227 the tip kit is only compatible with the surface pro 4's pen
If you do art, then here are 4 tips. Seriously, I like them even though I haven't really used them so far (a new SP4 owner too).
$14 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-RJ3-00001-Surface-Pen-Tip/dp/B01697GO4S/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1486737088&sr=1-2&keywords=surface+pen
You don't get any extra nibs when you buy a surface pro. just what's in the pen, but they sell pen nib packs. Here's the link: Surface Pro 4 Pen Tip Kit
the reason the SP3 nibs were free was because you cannot buy them in store. the SP4 nibs are available for purchase at MS, AMZN and Best Buy for under $10, you also get a holder and 3 additional nibs.
