The volume of the cylinder is pi r^2 h = pi (47.625 mm)^2 157.1625mm = 1.11987×10^6 mm^3.

According to this amazon package, 1 lb contains 250 hearts, and this box is 1 oz, so contains about 15-16 hearts. The box is 3.5 inches high, and in the image is 114.56 pixels. The width is 78.72 pixels, so the box must be 2.405 inches wide.

From this picture, the ratio between the depth and the width is 98.5 pixels to 390.5 pixels, so the box is 0.607 inches in depth. So the volume of that 1-oz box is 0.607 inches 3.5 inches 2.405 inches = 5.1094 inches^3 = 83728.1 mm^3

Therefore the volume of a single heart is = 5358.6 mm^3.

So the approximate number of hearts in that jar is = 1.11987E6/5358.6 = 208.98 hearts

 

{Edit}: if we assume the jar is more like 4 pennies across instead of 5, then the volume of the jar changes to 7.16719×10^5 mm^3, so the number of hearts reduces to 133.75 hearts
