I HIGHLY recommend the Tecware Phantom TKL for its steel backplate, double-shot keys, outemu switches, RGB, and $40. It has the highest quality out of any keyboard in this price range in my opinion:

So I don't know much about keyboards other than I was tired of my devastator 2 kb. I got this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B079HQM71L/ref=sxts_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1525576781&sr=1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&th=1&psc=1 a couple of days ago and I really like it. Don't know if that helps at all. Lol

Feels more like Cherry MX Brown switches but with less travel. There's a tactile feel to them, but it's missing the audible click. It feels a bit mushy/sticky when you bottom out, which is impossible not to do. There is a noticeable sound when you release the key, which feels like an echo if you're used to typing on a blue switch board. If you're choice is between a regular membrane keyboard or nothing, then it's a good deal (unless you want something silent.) The switches can't be dampened with O-rings like Cherry compatible switches.

I ordered this TKL for $35 on a lighting deal yesterday. It's twice as much but I think it will be worth it.

There's also a full sized version available, albeit it's $55.

For something I can truly recommend that's not over $100, the G. Skill KM570 RGB with Cherry Speed switches is a fantastic gaming board. I got mine for $63 during a NewEgg daily deal this past spring. I was hoping this would be on sale again soon because I really want the brown switch version too.

Enter two spaces before a line break to get a single line break.
Hit enter twice to get a spaced line break. This is what your post should have looked like:

>Choose one Mouse and one Keyboard

>Mice:
Option 1- Steelseries rival 110
Option 2- Logitech g203 prodigy
Option 3- Steelseries 600
Option 4- cooler master mm710

>Keyboard:
Option 1- E-Element Z-88 rgb mechanical
Option 2- Filco Majestouch 2 tkl
Option 3- Drevo tyfing v2
Option 4- Massdrop CTRL Mechanical

>Also: are mouse bungees necessary or helpful?

As for the suggestions, I'd recommend the Logitech G502. It's in the same price range as the SteelSeries and Cooler Master mice, but is a much better and highly regarded mouse (it even has it's own subreddit).

Avoid the Drevo Tyrfing, it's got QC issues. I love CM keyboards, so they always get my vote if you have the budget for it. If not, consider the TKL Tecware Phantom.

A membrane keyboard, YOU DUMMY THICC IN THE HEAD BOI (sorry just been wanting to say that all day) but yeah, get a mechanical, a good one for about 40$ is the Tecware phantom mechanical keyboard, you can get it in otemu blues, browns, and reds. If you want a full size keyboard it’s only five bucks more. Here’s the link to it on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Tecware-Phantom-Mechanical-Keyboard-Outemu/dp/B079HQM71L/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?keywords=tecware+phantom+87+mechanical+keyboard&qid=1559280019&s=gateway&sprefix=tecware+&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1

Have a look at the Tecware Phantom. It's 46 bucks, it has Outemu switches that can be hotswapped *with other Outemu switches** if you wanna try other stuff out.

*(This is important, don't try any other switch, you'll just ruin them.)

Is it the best? No. Is it damn good for sub 50 bucks? Abso-f'n-lutely.

I highly recommend this keyboard on a budget. Build quality is superb and it works great. Not cherry switches but outemu which is still very good. You can always update the switches later if you like as they are removable.

Long time lurker so I’m super excited to finally be a part of the club. Keyboard: Tecware Phantom 87 key with red switches. My first mechanical keyboard and I love it. [link]

u/herroitsregan · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

are you into TKL keyboards?

Check out the brown switch version. Its a good blend for typing and gaming. They require less force to press on and are fairly quiet but they are still tactile. I think this would suit your needs. Fairly cheep and RGB too!

I use the glorious model O mouse https://www.pcgamingrace.com/products/glorious-model-o-black which I really enjoy

And a really nice keyboard that was pretty cheap compared to some gaming keyboards https://www.amazon.com/Tecware-Phantom-Mechanical-Keyboard-Outemu/dp/B079HQM71L?th=1&psc=1

Don’t forget a mousepad though! It’s a pretty important part of a setup. (Try to get a nice big one)

Are authentic cherry switches worth the extra change? (14.96 to be exact) I'm looking to purchase a new keyboard for myself, as I strictly come from a membrane background. I have no prior experience with mechanical switches so I won't be able to come across a difference, but in your opinion what do you think I should. Opt out for authentic cherry switches or will the knockoffs suffice for my now. Thanks!

TLDR: Will I be okay if spend a little less on outemu switches rather then purchasing cherry.

Today I bought an amazon special (lol) the version of the Tecware Phantom. This is the board, which says it's hotswap, but only for Outemou switches. Two questions-is this true, will no other switch fit? And second, if a any switch would fit with slight modification (like clipping a plastic stem, for instance) would that work? I got it to act as a test bed for some mods I want to try out on my more expensive boards, and of course I don't want to ruin a bunch of switches but a few at a time to mod, drop in and test would be acceptable.

u/xd_Jamie · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

this is legit the only site/thread which acknowledges that this product exists. there's no reviews online or even websites selling it. only 1 seller on amazon. i bought it and im like wtf, why is there nothing online eg a manual for it and i freak'd out and requested a cancellation. But considering its brand new and not a discontinued failed product then the lack of reviews could be expected. anyone tried it out?

Got a couple questions.

  1. the switches arent exposed like the other model so im wondering if the rgb is affected.
  2. how does the 3 layered system work for num, f keys and media buttons. if its fn for media and alt for f keys, that would be awesome
  3. If the 3 layer system is good then i might like it better over a tecware phantom rgb ( https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B079HQM71L/?coliid=I3GVFYQ0SDU61K&colid=32TPBBWNN2IVB&psc=1 ) which is my other option.
  4. its a copy of the anne pro 2 isnt it? which isnt bad for us.

edit: things i noticed which look different

    -no mention on stabilisers

    -no double shot keys

Are these big problems? im not sure coz this would be my first mechanical board

>The Tecware Phantom Rgb Tkl

lol sorry, i got it Here. i wasnt searching tkl before so i was getting the one with brown and blue switch.

u/Razmatti · 1 pointr/buildapc

Are you sure? As far as I'm aware, he hasn't reviewed any mechanical keyboards since this one came out. I also couldn't find a video when I did a search. This is the keyboard I'm talking about.

u/spicedpumpkins · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

Own this. It's alright but feature poor.

If you're going to spend $50ish bucks I usually suggest the Tecware Phantom 87 with your choice of switches.

Similar build quality and just TROUNCES the corsair in features for the price. AND it has standard bottom row so if you want to bling out with some $20 pudding caps it's ready to go and looks dope AF.

u/coolsheep769 · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

Coworker convinced me to switch, but for the time being I'm quite poor (eventually I plan to get nice custom keycaps and such). I'm feeling a tenkeyless 60% because I don't like having buttons I don't use. Here are a few of the budget keyboards I've been looking at:

Velocifire compact tiny itty bitty mini thing for $30: I'd prefer reds/blacks to browns, but the noise still shouldn't be too bad from this.

E-Element Z-88 for $45: The RGB looks a little ugly, but maybe it's just the pictures. Excited about the reds, but ideally I'd like it cheaper (I know this is already dirt cheap, but maybe cheaper is possible?). Also, would definitely replace the caps.

Tecware Phantom for $45: I can't tell for sure whether this comes with outemu reds or blues, but if reds, yay. This also seems to be easier than usual to customize later.

I'm not sure what brands are and are not trustworthy in the mechanical world, or if there's anything about any of these that I overlooked.

Take a look at this. My friend has it and it is pretty sturdy for its price point. I don’t know of all it’s features but I thought that it would fit your taste.
