My Thermos brand thermos is advertised to keep liquids hot for 12 hours and cold for 24. While I'm not going to stand 100% behind those numbers, it at least shows that the thermos keeps liquids cold longer than it keeps them hot.
100% agree with /u/GardenerSpyTailorAss that there's a reason good thermoses are more expensive. The cheap ones generally suck and don't last.

BTW, do you have full dimensions of the mug? Wondering if I could fit this into a bag I have, which can fit a breakfast burrito or a 12 oz water bottle but not this.
What makes me feel better is taking a hot shower after a really challenging workout and just laying down in my bed to daydream or fall asleep.
