Even further if you use one of these. I use one to drop HDMI into my bedroom and it's been working great for years.

There are wall plates you can get that accept Ethernet on the “inside” and have an hdmi termination on the other, depending on the Ethernet cables in your walls you could be limited in signal quality

That’s one such solution

You probably would have been better off running cat6 cable and buying either extender adapters or, if you want to be fancy, the wall plates (amazon link).

So there are wall jacks like these. I'm sure they can be found cheaper.

You can use the type of cable you found or you can do HDMI over convention CAT5 cable. I've done it before at my dad's house for his TV, so the receivers would be in a closet. Not sure of the efficiency of it, but it can be done.

And yes, I recommend the same as AnonymooseRedditor, only to use HDMI instead of VGA for the quality:

I actually don't know yet. The electricians come back tomorrow to finish up and I'll find out then. I know they ran dual Cat6. Since they only charged me about $60 a drop, I'm assuming its something similar to this
That usb thing might work perfect. I think that coupled with a USB hub (so I can power multiple ones) may work out well.
