I mostly agree here, but I think 7-13, instead of being a period of tight discipline, should be described as a period of constant leveling up. Always raising the bar with expectations, with the enticement of increasing freedoms and privileges as a result. I do agree that at 14 you have to transition to an advisor role - that's actually a central premise of Mike Riera's books - but going abruptly from tight discipline to mentoring is going to cause whiplash.
