Yeah, lately, I've just adopted a cleansing routine the same as I would on my face. I don't mechanically exfoliate anymore (like with apricot scrub or anything), but I exfoliate twice a month using a salicylic acid gel peel. I also use that on my face, but my butt skin can tolerate a longer treatment. I do this at home, by the way. No expensive salon stuff. You can get it online. Here's the link to what I use.

I use benzoyl peroxide twice daily and keep the area clean with Wet Ones Antibacterial for sensitive skin. All of that combined, the breakouts haven't completely stopped, but they're under control and rare. Eating lots of sugar or sitting for long periods of time, or wearing lace undies or thongs always irritates it and causes a breakout.

I wish you luck. I know how cripplingly embarrassing this is. Heh. Embarrassing. I kill me...

Hey there, I have hyperpigmentation in my cheeks after 3 yrs with acne and I use this chemical peel(s). Lactic Acid is basically to remove the scars and Salicylic is to avoid getting Acne. Ive been doing them both for 4 months now I can tell you my face has cleared up significantly. I am not 100% there, but it's better than it was 1 yr ago. The scars fade but the mark is there for ever, and I still get 2-3 pimples every few weeks. I can only tell you to be persistent since results will not appear in the first month. Your skin will shed and shed, and after 5 weeks, you will notice. each bottle lasts me about 2 months and they're less than $25. DUDE seriously, i hope you look into it.

As a fellow peeler (the 30ml lasted a year, though it may have been longer if my gf didn't also use it), I'd recommend you moving it to the night, so to reduce its sun sensitivity effects. If you're ok with using a stronger moisturizing sunblock, you can stick with mornings.

Anyway, hope you're using a fan brush instead of a cotton swab so more acid can go onto your face.

I recommend Skin laboratory

I prefer the gels over the "feels like water" peels.

You're supposed to do it once a week for I think 5-6 weeks straight and then once a month afterwards for maintenance.

A lot of different manufacturers have different recommendations.

Honestly, what I currently use/used was a cheap $12 from ebay that's "liquid" but my very first chemical peel was skin laboratory 20% salicylic acid and I really liked the gel like texture because I felt it spread easier or less likely to drip.

For first time users, 1 minute MAX! And if you're doing your whole face....half of your face will have a longer exposure time/the other half less (due to time it takes to put on your face since you need to be careful to avoid eyes and dripping down), but stick to 1 minute just to test out how your skin reacts because if you leave too long, you could get a chemical burn that can leave a scar.

I left it on too long once and got a 0.8x0.8 inch scar that took about 2 months to fade to not very noticeable and probably 4-6 months to completely disappear.

Also, dermatologists usually use a fan brush to put it on your face, but I find using latex/nitrile gloves is a lot easier and faster.

The cure to all acne, ever. Also just so you know, the washes that are sold in stores have such a low percentage of acid content, the effect is almost non-existent. An acid peel will yield much better results:

Get the 30mL bottle to start to see if it's right for you. If you like it, get the 100 mL bottle. It works on your back, chest, face; either take the advice from me (cause it definitely has worked), or the 147 other people that gave this product a 5 star rating, lol.

It is good especially if you are a runner like you say. Salicyclic Acid will help slough off the dead outer skin cells, as well as restart the rejuvenation process for new, healthy layers of skin to form. It also will help unclog the pores, as well as expel any crap that gets in them, which will help rid acne. Just follow the instructions they provide.

Hope this helps!

MARIO BADESCU! Seriously. They have a consultant service and they can recommend products via email. They have a buffering lotion that is for spot treatment of cystic pimples. For other kinds of pimples, they have the drying lotion. Honestly, I think washing your face with some gentle cleansers and moisturizing! Which sounds ridiculous. Olive oil or jojoba oil at night. The more you moisturize your skin, the less your skin will need to produce it. As for your pores, I think using a toner like alcohol free witch hazel amazon it and doing bi weekly acid peels amazon again will help clear up and reduce the appearance of your pores. Just start researching products. Try a regimen and stick with it for a while.

I'm thinking weight loss should help. They'll get smaller as you lose fat and should sag less, although I'm far from an experiment in that area.

Maybe consider wearing some sort of sports bra to keep them from rubbing and causing the irritation?

You might be able to lessen the visibility of the scarring with a skin peel treatment like this. I'd read up on it first though and probably best if you get your weight down first before doing that and letting any current wounds heal first.
