I feel like the extender mine came with was faulty - at the slightest angle it would leak all the air out. I fixed it by wrapping the spinning collar together with the rubber with teflon tape and then duct tape (saw the suggestion on this subreddit). Now I have to unscrew the entire extender to disconnect it, but I barely lose any air in the process.
I also bought a straight metal extender that works like a charm. I'm sure most of the ones on amazon would work, but make sure that the extenders themselves have check valves (some ask you to remove the valve from the tire itself to use on the extender)
