- Durable Brown Switch- Low-noise switches have a tactile bump for feedback with every key-press. It is much QUIETER than Blue Switch but LOUDER than a regular Membrane keyboard. If you never used a mechanical keyboard before, please think about whether you can accept its sound first.
- Compact Design- The compact mechanical keyboard helps save desktop space.Tiny size of compact keyboard makes it possible to share room with a mouse. Users like to have to mouse close to keyboard, since that will be easier to reach. It also serves as a accessory of laptop.
- ANTI-GHOSTING - This is sometime used in place of Key Rollover, but the terminology is incorrect since ghosting is a different (and rare) issue. You will need to do more research to see what key rollover technology is being used. Ghosting is when two or more keys are pressed and a key that was not pressed registers instead.

With leds on
Amazon link for the keyboard
Usually in the cheap range (<$40), it is hard to find browns. They pretty much all come with blues.
Other boards i like if you are in the market
Magicforce 68 Outemu browns
Redragon K552 Outemu blues
if you are looking for Outemu brown spend $10 more and get this instead https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071W16NVZ/
There is a Outemu Brown tkl for 30$ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071W16NVZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_uQhCCb7A4RN7S
Seems like more Brown switches are coming out at the $30 tag looking around you may be able to find.
I'm really enjoying this one it's only $30 and its super compact. But watch out for the right shift key, I don't use it but its really small and would probably be hard to get used to

This one is pretty cheap and decent mechanical keyboard for the price.
I will warn you though, you get what you pay for https://www.amazon.com/Velocifire-Mechanical-Double-Shot-Copywriter-Programmer/dp/B071W16NVZ/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=velocifire&qid=1571093263&sr=8-3

My formatting is probably incorrect but here's the link!

Also look into browns. Feel just like blues, but don't have the noise. There are a few options for either type of switch for around $25 to $35 on amazon, all of which are pretty good.
104 key, blue switches, RGB: $30
87 key/tkl, blue switches, blue backlight: $28
78 key, brown switches, white backlight: $26
61 key/60%, blue switches, wireless (with option to wire if you want), backlight depends on color: $40 -this one has some questionable key layouts though, arrow keys take priority over other keys. You could work around this with autohotkey I bet
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071W16NVZ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Just got this, seems worth for a beater keyboard. Use promo code H3C8M8WI for a few more bucks off.
Dont know what switch to get lol, any recommendations? I already ordered brown switches for this keyboard: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071W16NVZ/
Could care less about the gamer vibe or the lights. The board just felt really nice in terms of spacing and key "depth"? Idk if that's the right word. On my current board the keys feel too tall, and the three rows i.e. the qwerty asdf and zxcv seem too far apart (like vertically), each row is higher than the next by too much not sure the actual term for that.
I have this btw:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071W16NVZ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
$85 is a deal since it's like $160 msrp but yeah I know everyone hates razer. If there's another board that will feel similar down for it. I spend 12+ hours a day working on a lenovo think pad for work so I think I just prefer the shorter click range from a laptop keyboard.
Can anyone help me find rubberized key caps (or something with a little grip) for this keyboard: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071W16NVZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I bought this last year and for the most part like it, but my fingers slide around a lot. have always wanted to try rubberized key caps but can't find them anywhere? Or I'm just dumb and looking for the wrong thing.
Velocifire 78 Though I actually meant the Mini, but that appears to be out of stock right now.

Royal Kludge
thank you, this is exactly what I needed.
however I live in Canada
would 42 USD still be a good deal for this product? (amazon says there's an extra 12 dollar charge for customs / shipping)
I don't know why but the Canadian amazon has this item for a much more expensive price
56 USD on Amazon.ca
E-Element Z-88 at the same price point
$20
https://www.amazon.com/Velocifire-Tenkeyless-Mechanical-Double-Shot-Copywriter/dp/B071W16NVZ/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
It only turns blue tho
Thanks! It's this board: Velocifire TKL78 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071W16NVZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_RqQMAb38BJTY8 and these keycaps: ATTAV 37 Keys PBT https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073B1ZDRF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_esQMAbQ60FVG5
There are many mechanical keyboards available for under $30 these days. I've used a few, they're quite pleasant. Here's a compact TKL, here's a TKL with socketed switches, here's a quieter keyboard in a unique form factor. Under $20 isn't unheard of either but you'll have to be vigilant.
Quality mice are also available for under $30. Anything with a PWM3360 or 3366 sensor will perform like a flagship product. Keep an eye on r/buildapcsales for a Logitech G502, Nixeus Revel, or alternatively a DeathAdder Chroma. For a tighter budget, ADNS3050 and PWM3320 sensors are as low as I'd go for FPS gaming.
It's def not a bad choice if you like that particular key layout. But I'm not sure if it's worth $50 more than this one. I'm comparing the specs and I don't see a big difference:

I got the TKL Velocifire; wanted a smaller keyboard to try out than my giant Corsair K70. Lightning Deal for $22 this week. Such a great keyboard for the price.
I like brown switches, or red/low switches. You can get cheap tenkeyless units that really free up desk space for mousing. Every key that you should be hitting with your left hand is in the regular layout.
Velocifire Mechanical Double Shot Copywriter Programmer $30
When I am streaming with friends, I switch to the Logitech Atlas Spectrem RGB. It makes less noise, and I use the RGB to keep track of hotkeys. That board was discontinued, but they improved it a little and call it Logitech G Pro.
Logitech Mechanical Keyboard G Pro $115
For Mice I also have a cheap and a expensive. They are both going to be heavier then you like. They both have magnetic sides and an optional pinky shelf, as I hate burning my fingertips. The G.Skill Mx780 also has an adjustable palm rest. This G.Skill is used by a lot of YouTubers, like JaysTwoCents (in use in background). I assume it was a sample that they liked and kept (also see Roccat Nyth).
RIPJAWS MX780 - RGB Laser Gaming Mouse
G.SKILL RIPJAWS MX780 Ambidextrous RGB 8200 DPI Laser $35
DARK CORE RGB SE Performance Wired / Wireless Gaming Mouse with Qi® Wireless Charging
CORSAIR Dark Core SE - RGB Wireless Gaming Mouse - 16,000 DPI Optical $70
I have a Velocifire TKL 78. $30 shipped in the US, so hopefully comparable (and available) in NL. Blue blacklight, black keys and case, Outemu browns, braided cable.
I'm very pleased with mine.

Same manufacturer, but a different form factor and Outemo instead of Zorro switches. I have the TKL01, and it is quiet, especially with O-rings. This keyboard uses the same switches as the Drevo Gamr and is a similar form factor. You could look for reviews to compare them.
This has Outemu browns which are similar to Cherry, but may be scratchier. Gateron switches would be the best like in this keyboard.
Any chance of being able to get a small tkl like this one:
www.amazon.com/Velocifire-Mechanical-Double-Shot-Copywriter-Programmer/dp/B071W16NVZ/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1539763551&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=velocifire+keyboard&dpPl=1&dpID=51CwJub0yBL&ref=plSrch
But with blue switches any time soon?
I love how affordable this is and have one at home and the only thing I would change about it is the brown switches. I really would have loved blues or blacks or anything but browns. Im just not a fan of tactile without the click I guess.
XD60 supports arrow keys and is 60% size profile. But it's a kit, likely not what OP is looking for and out of the $60 price range.
OP may want to look into this.

Hi! I'm looking to buy my first mechanical keyboard and have been doing a lot of research on this sub. I think I'd like a 75% with cherry brown switches and PBT keys. I love the look of the Vortex Race 3 but I don't really like the keys to the right of enter (I use Mac which doesn't make use of those). I love how the Velocfire TKL78 doesn't have those keys, but I'm not into the whole look of black keyboards or backlit keyboards. Any suggestions for a classic tan kb that's smaller but still has function keys for volume control/media playback?
Closest I could find are these -
https://www.amazon.com/Velocifire-Mechanical-Double-Shot-Copywriter-Programmer/dp/B071W16NVZ/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=cheap+keyboard+60%25&qid=1563854276&s=gateway&sr=8-8

But to be honest, you are better off with a full sized keyboard instead of a 60%. You can always come back to 60% when you save enough money.. My advice is to get a keyboard as cheap as possible to get the job done. a cheap 60% will end up disappointing you more down the road.
Looking for a new keyboard my budget is around $100. I do not know much about keyboards other than what I read in the wiki. Currently I have my eyes on three keyboards that are pretty cheap and look pretty decent. If you have a much better alternative that blows everything else away for its price point let me know. However please explain why the keyboard is better than the ones listed for its price increase/decrease as I want to take it as a learning experience for future purchases & get the best bang for my buck. Somethings I am looking for in this keyboard is that it is a
-Mechanical Keyboard
-Wired
-Has separate function keys
-Durable / Can survive a few years of button smashing in world of warcraft
-Heard something about red & brown buttons being more satisfying for gaming so lets go with that
Extras (not that important)
I do not really care for lights on my keyboard as I would probably turn them off anyways, I like white keyboards but can live without it being white, and I like it when each key is raised and I can see underneath.

I love the look of Anne Pro 2, but... it does not have separate function keys so its a no go.
Thanks!
Coworker convinced me to switch, but for the time being I'm quite poor (eventually I plan to get nice custom keycaps and such). I'm feeling a tenkeyless 60% because I don't like having buttons I don't use. Here are a few of the budget keyboards I've been looking at:
Velocifire compact tiny itty bitty mini thing for $30: I'd prefer reds/blacks to browns, but the noise still shouldn't be too bad from this.
E-Element Z-88 for $45: The RGB looks a little ugly, but maybe it's just the pictures. Excited about the reds, but ideally I'd like it cheaper (I know this is already dirt cheap, but maybe cheaper is possible?). Also, would definitely replace the caps.
Tecware Phantom for $45: I can't tell for sure whether this comes with outemu reds or blues, but if reds, yay. This also seems to be easier than usual to customize later.
I'm not sure what brands are and are not trustworthy in the mechanical world, or if there's anything about any of these that I overlooked.

Please use common sense.
