I'll update once more places to order show up.
Besides being more comfortable, the XB1's dpad is significantly better. For example, I couldn't wall jump in Super Metroid with the 360 controller, and was only able to get past that part when I got an XB1 controller.
On the other hand, I completed Dark Souls with the 360 controller and it was a great experience. So I would get this $25 360 pad if you're on a budget, otherwise for greater comfort and usable dpad, I'd prefer the $73 Xbox 1 controller.
Also, they sell one for PC specifically now, instead of having to buy the play'n'charge kit in addition. Its slightly cheaper.
Microsoft-Xbox-Controller-Cable-Windows is $52.00 on Amazon.

It's 74.99 everywhere, but I may just go to Best Buy and get a controller for $40 + Play and Charge Kit for $25 = $65
You can get a combo of the controller with the play and charge kit, this the original model controller however.
