If you want to save money maybe consider buying used or even buying something adjustable instead of a ton of dumbbells you probably won't end up using.

There are dumbbells with spin-on collars. Those are going to be your best bet, I think. Whether that exact dumbbell set I linked to is worth the purchase, I don't know.
