As for the flaring on both ends. I am still debating on this port. It seems the tests show they do move more air with less noise, however the question is will my subs move enough air to cause noise? I guess better safe than sorry so I will probably use the port mentioned here if I do use a round port.
Now that you mention it and I'm thinking about it.. A 1.5" wide 16.5" tall 9.5" deep port would be cheaper and easier to make. All the while still producing a clean sound. I guess it will come down to the amount of money and the amount of time I feel like spending next weekend. I like the round ports for looks mostly.
