I use these on my quad and they are great, super sharp though

I think they come in thruster sets as well. I usually just go for mid sized and whatever colors look best on my board
Future and FCS brand name fins are expensive as shit. I personally like Captain Fin because they're still brandname but they're $15-$30 cheaper than the big boys. Plus I like how they look and feel under my board. that's what matters the most.
Ho Stevie sells thrusters for like $30. Some reviews say that the futures tabs are a little bit too big for the boxes and some people have to sand them down a little bit, but that's the price for saving $60 i guess :)
in my area, every surf shop carry either original futures or futures compatible fins
if you don't want to buy an original futures fins - looks at captain fin or true ames or any other brand without fcs in its name
here is true ames - https://www.trueames.com/collections/twin-fins-1
captain fin - https://captainfin.com/collections/twin-fins
and here is a cheaper option - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S2P6LJQ/ref=sspa_dk_detail_5?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07S2P6LJQ&pd_rd_w=uRIvF&pf_rd_p=45a72588-80f7-4414-9851-786f6c16d42b&pd_rd_wg=iXp6B&pf_rd_r=G2T1B4J00SQN4P9QX5W1&pd_rd_r=0604738b-d18b-40a8-a0e0-00192f435913&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzSkZWN0NTTTg4NlA1JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNDY2OTEyMzgwWVZHNUJLSkdGWCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwODY3NDMzMzA1WDY3M01JSkJFTiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2RldGFpbCZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
Just about every surfboard made in the last 10 years uses FCS1/2 or Futures fins. Looks like this board is using FCS 1 (but double check on that). You can order a quad setup pretty cheap on amazon. I use the ho stevie fins cuz i'm cheap.

is it a thruster setup or a 1+2 setup? if it is a thruster, you usually have to buy a whole set, and they are all the same size. you can usually find a set of used future fins for $30 on craiglist. If it is a 1+2 setup, with a long fin box as shown in the pic, you can buy a flex fin like the one I linked to.
edit:
in case i wasn't clear, a 1+2 fin setup nearly always has a standard fin box for the center, which will fit a standard fin like this. as a general rule of thumb, most people choose a fin that is about 1" long for every 1' of board length. i personally prefer a little more than that.
so confused now. so many options.

this looks like it might be enough depth and area. would you say this would be the inbetween point of my 8.5 kinda rakey fin and your yater spoon. and do you think ill feel a difference if i go to the in between fin, or best i jump straight to the big boy.
https://www.amazon.com/Captain-Fin-Co-Compatible-Surfboard/dp/B01FV8UFE6/ref=sr_1_17?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1524098497&sr=1-17&keywords=future+quad+fins got them on Amazon cause I had a giftcard it was $90 for the medium green set vs like $120 for similar ones at the surf shop I was at
http://www.amazon.com/Prosea-Surfboard-Base-Carbon-Surfing-Thruster/dp/B017LP9GX8?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00
They are actually a solid set.
These on one of my boards, and those on another.
I haven't tried it, but this might work for you - https://www.amazon.com/Frogfish-Pivoting-Spring-Loaded-Replacement-Shallow/dp/B01JDTJW8O
Just wrap a towel around 'em. or, there's always this: https://www.amazon.com/FINPULLER-Worlds-Surfboard-Removal-Installation/dp/B07HXH27RG/ref=pd_rhf_sc_s_pd_crcd_1_7/156-4149958-6346326?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07HXH27RG&pd_rd_r=17baf63c-dd0e-49d4-adb2-adef673b38f8&pd_rd_w=BQx2R&pd_rd_wg=zs1Sq&pf_rd_p=36c62ed8-9692-4b91-aa9a-c4b3b85cc759&pf_rd_r=P8MYYMDCCWEBJNQB788G&psc=1&refRID=P8MYYMDCCWEBJNQB788G
It was a 5-fin setup (gives me the option to try/switch between quad and thruster). I was looking at these:
