EDIT: Of course you'd have to size the arc image appropriately to the size of the closet lamp. That was the first closet lamp I saw with a frosted cover, and it may be worthwhile to find one thats not so rounded (less like a dome).
EDIT 2: double check the diameter of the light. Thought I had seen some dimensions making it look like a good choice, but could be wrong.

Taplights. I can't say this enough. I just set them on flat surfaces on the most used route through the house. Turn them on as you walk past and turn them off when you come back.
I also took down my [Moon In Your Room] (http://www.amazon.com/Uncle-Milton-Moon-In-Room/dp/B000EUHKUE) set it on the floor and used it as a 'campfire' around which my husband and I sat in the living room and ate ice cream.

I'm so sorry haha I did completely forget.
What I was seeing in my head was this module somehow connected to a light like this that I can then strap somehow to his crib. I like that it's battery powered so that I can...I don't know...rig a piece of tupperware or something for the housing. I don't know how to put electrical components together, but I suppose I could YouTube something. I just have a tendency to make my ideas more complicated than they probably need to be. I feel like this could be simple to do, but I also don't want to accidentally shock the poor kid when he pushes the button.
