I was figuring a couple of cardigans or shawls (I usually keep one in my purse even when it's 100f here, just because I get chilly on the train or in shops) and maybe this jacket in case of rain or chilly nights (Google was saying an average of 56F at night) - but I also only got the jacket last week, so I'm still figuring out how warm it is.

Yeah, I definitely wasn't thinking full on wellies or anything, but these are the only decent flats I own right now and those are definitely not great in even a light drizzle. So really I'm just looking for anything sturdy and cute (preferably in a nice quality leather) that comes pre-treated to at least be water resistant (if not full on waterproof) - I just only ever recall seeing leather boots marked water resistant and never anything summery. I do also have waterproofing spray and I k ow how to use it, but it plays better with, say, a nice solid leather flat than with t-strap sandals.

These are the closest thing to proper rain boots that I've considered and I'm not particularly enthused by them.

Hello! I really want to get a new jacket for work and casual. this is what I have right now and while I love it, I tend to sweat a bit more because of the water resistant lining.

I really want a Jacket with a hood because I live in Victoria, BC and it could rain at any moment, but I just want more options than another raincoat.

I bought this trench off Amazon Recently but I returned it. I'm 5'2 and 113lbs so it was too bulky for my liking, which I wasn't expecting.

Also utility jackets I don't really understand, I use the drawstrings in a way that flatters my figure, and they are a bit casual for work (government job).

Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

EDIT- this one from LL bean could be nice?

Need: spring coats. I have two potentials but am on the fence: nude and black. I love long knee-length trenchcoats with large lapels and A-line figures. Haven't found anything that works yet, though.

Want: spring dresses! And A-line dresses and stud earrings for dancing. I also want to start wearing summer hats. Anyone have an inspiration album?

Love: Jimmy Choo slingbacks in black and nude. They seem so... light! And not too tall. I could see myself wearing these regularly.

No worries! That should help you get better answers =)

In that case, are you staying at a disney hotel or off property at a regular hotel? The disney hotels have food prices similar to inside the parks, the hotels off property are near regular restaurants. You can view the menus and pricing of the restaurants on the disney website to help with budgeting. Quick service restaurants where you walk up to a counter and order your food them find your own seat are the lower cost option. Table service restaurants with reservations are more expensive and character meals usually run $60 per person (adult cost). If you want sit down table service meals I highly recommend making reservations in advance using the app. One way to cut costs is to bring in your own food, an uber or cab ride to walmart to get groceries can save a lot. I've heard you can get groceries delivered to hotels as well but have no experience with this.

Definitely book your fast passes as soon as you can. You can get 3 per day in a single park in advance. Day of, once you scan your third one you can book another one (at the park you are in or at another park) then after you use that one book another continuously until the end of the day.

I don't have kids and my husband doesn't enjoy the thrill rides, but here are some of our favorite things.

Magic Kingdom- Pirates of the Carribean, Haunted Mansion, eating Dole Whip

Hollywood - Toy Story Mania, eating at the Sci Fi Diner

Epcot- walking around the showcase eating food from all over the world, pin trading

AK- Pandora (rides, food, atmosphere, everything), Lion King Show

With the length of time you're there sounds like you should be able to see them all. My park preference is favoring Epcot and Magic Kingdom most, then Animal Kingdom, Hollywood studios last. This will change once all the construction is done in the fall but right now hollywood is a little boring to me.

Things to bring- I recommend a good poncho, a small fan, a refillable water bottle and an inflatable seat cushion. I've spent a lot of time sitting on the ground waiting for things, parades, fireworks, shows etc. It sounds silly but the seat cushion makes all the difference after a long day at the parks.

I believe for July 4th they do special fireworks but shouldn't effect your trip much other than possibly higher crowds that day.

For discount souvenirs there is a place called "Character warehouse" in the premium and vineland outlets nearby that has official disney merchandise at great prices.

I don't know how cold it is there right now so this may not be warm enough, but I recently got this rain jacket/wind breaker and I really love it. It is not a heavy jacket, but I like it because I can wear it when it is warmer out and not be too hot and when it gets cold out it is roomy enough to fit my North Face jacket or a hoodie under. I'm also a size 12 and wear a 36C bra and I got it in the size 40, it is roomy, but I might go up a size to accommodate a larger bust. I personally think it is really flattering.

So I live in Texas where we get maybe 2 months of actual winter weather, but my big wish for next year when I can hopefully somewhat pass is LONG COATS. I love the one cosplay long coat I have and have always thought that tailcoats were the only piece of mens fashion that was worth a damn in history. Looking forward to them so much. Don't so much have outfits but I'll post a couple cute/cool ones. My fashion sense is "peppy goth" so ymmv.

I'm not familiar with Charles River, but I recently bought this rain jacket for a summer music festival. It packs down very small and kept me nice and dry. It's very thin, though, so won't do much of anything for keeping you warm.

u/yabbadabbadoodledoo · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I did a lot of holiday shopping and here's what I got!

Got this on sale and I love it.

P.S: Bought it from the store itself and not amazon.com

Also these cute pieces of jewelry.

Double sided pearl earring - White with Silver

Floating Pearl Earring

Pave Open Bangle Bracelet in Red

This Jacket in Burgundy

Not sure if you're male or female, but I have a coat that I got off of Amazon and I absolutely love it.

I wear a trench coat for this in between time - something like this although mine is an off brand I picked up at the thrift store. Mine is grey and I like that it's a good in between color and matches any shoes.

It's not designer or anything (or even branded, as far as I know), but I took this wonderful black mid-length raincoat to London last winter, and it held up perfectly. It has a hood and seems to be waterproof, but I haven't worn it in torrential rain yet.

I bought mine from Lord & Taylor over a year ago in olive green, and I get compliments whenever I wear it. I love the hidden hood!

u/SteampunkButterfly · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

My mom bought me a GORGEOUS Victorian style trench coat for Christmas. On the 22nd of December, after a harrowing journey across the ocean, it departed LA on it's way to Salt Lake. It has not been heard from since. None of you guys got my beautiful coat by accident, did you?

u/fifey157 · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I also have a Calvin Klein trench coat with a hood in red from Amazon over a year ago. It's amazing. Light weight, super flattering. I get compliments on it all the time. The coat I linked is no longer available, but this one is similar and comes in a few different colors.

u/sydchez · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

This is definitely more function over fashion but Charles River has a yellow raincoat on Amazon. I have the pink one and it's a good raincoat.

u/j-o2 · 1 pointr/HerOneBag

Have gone all over the world with this rain trench, including Seattle rain as home base. Easy to pack, slightly stylish and very water resistant. Not monsoon proof, but definitely EU type rain will work.

They have a yellow one with a grey hoodie now. I have the red and I love it. I got mine a size larger than I usually wear so I could layer a hoodie under it.

Floridian here! You'll notice the locals, because they'll be wearing pants.

How heat sensitive are you? If you really don't like the heat, pack lighter fabrics (linens and cotton). An umbrella is a must. I bring mine everywhere everyday during the summer, because it will rain at some point during the day. Costco had great quality at a great price for small umbrellas.

I have a cute rain jacket, but I recommend getting a lightweight one like this.

For shoes, it's a personal preference. I'm fine with dirty wet feet, so I wear flip flops and wash my feet at home. I don't like shoes that keep my feet wet. I also keep a towel in my car to wipe down. These are my go to flip flops for walking. They are so comfortable.
