I expect this ban to become widespread in the coming years.

You have a few options:

  1. Suck it up and use a mineral sunscreen. Look pasty white just like everyone else who decided to use one. Or use less so you don't look pasty, but be ready to accept a potential burn.
  2. Use other sun protection like UPF clothing, hats, and umbrellas. There are some great (read: surprisingly sexy) UPF protective rash guards. Don't stay out as long. Embrace your new found UPF 50 beach attire with one of these bad boys
  3. Buy a European or Asian sunscreen that's octinoxate and oxybenzone free. I don't know whether these are reef safe, but they're allowed.

These all have their pros and cons. I would probably use a combination of methods to optimize practicality and protection.

Guys it’s not that serious lol. I wear physical sunblock and 1/4tsp of product on my face isn’t always ideal. I also sometimes forget or feel too lazy to wear sunblock. I’m using tretinoin so I want to be as careful as possible about unnecessary sun exposure.

It’s also not just about wrinkles or sun spots, but current damage as well ie hyperpigmentation and irritation.

To those asking where it’s from, it’s this one!

Edit: I read through all the comments just now. Some comments made really good points about trends in unhealthy self image when it comes to wrinkles. Aging is definitely a part of life, and expression lines and wrinkles are a part of life. And that’s fine. Wrinkles are definitely not ‘ugly’ and I’m not ‘afraid’ of them.

I just like trying new shit and this seemed fun and interesting for when I don’t want to wear sunblock or feel I can’t trust myself to wear it evenly or w/e. It also doubles as a possible daft punk costume so 💁🏻‍♀️ why not. Can everyone chill + take it easy that would be amazing.

Ruby Beach in the Olympic national park is where I would go if I could. It's not the warmest place usually, but growwing up we would come here every summer. When I think of beaches - I don't think of sand - I think of rocks and driftwood.

Summertime and the livin' is easy

I would love a sun shade that rolls up for when I'm caught in the sun by surprise. (A girl can hope, right?)

I would say the important thing about running in the rain is that once clothing becomes wet, it adds weight and makes it even more uncomfortable, so I would suggest rather than bulking up and putting on jackets, gloves, hats, etc. you look at the materials you are wearing. Steer clear from things that will absorb water and go for really light weight items made from engineered materials. Instead of a rain jacket, look for a shell or windbreaker. This is the hat I use.

Good luck!

Halo 6 launch party and chill? ;) lol

I actually just bought a visor from Amazon for $10 - $20 and cut out the piece I wanted. I believe this is the link to the one I got: https://www.amazon.com/Oidon-Plastic-Sun-Visor-Protection/dp/B01090MD4Q/ref=sr_1_25?keywords=visor&qid=1556722399&s=gateway&sr=8-25

I used a sun visor from Amazon when I made a Sabine helmet for my daughter's Halloween costume. I think the sheen had a nice effect.

I have been living in this hat all summer. I have 3 different colors. They are cool, adjustable and machine washable.

Exactly. But I have to admit, I kinda dig this one because it reminds me of Daft Punk: sun visor mask thing

Sun hats and large brim visors are common.

I'm also all about the visors! I love this one so much: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0032AMW2O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My hair is too long to keep on my neck, even in a low ponytail, when it's hot outside, so I need to be able to put it up in a bun. Also, so compact and packable when not on use! I even got a cheapie $3 one from the Target dollar bin to use when in doing really dirty yard work, or swimming in the pool and it's basically soaking in pool water all day.
