We got a seat cover that I really like. I usually tuck a blanket in there too because of drool and extra warmth. But I love not having to mess with making sure everything is tucked in.

JJ Cole Car Seat Cover, Black Tri Stitch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077C2GL53/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_M9PYDbYNH14Q4

For quick transition between places: Fleece onesie, hat

For walks outside: Long sleeve onesie, pants, fleece hoodie, hat, hood over hat

Zando Baby Winter Hats (fits my 4 month old great, lots of room to grow) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HGW9GY5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_5.PYDbP5SY6VH

Still looking for good gloves.

I LOVE this hat. Sits firmly on the head and the tie is awesome and secure. My kid can still yank it off if he's really determined, but that's pretty rare. I got him on board with hats by playing with a bunch of hats for us and Mr Potato Head in front of the mirror.

Definitely recommend nursing while baby wearing as others have mentioned. I have this hat https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001C1IREW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_S5gEAbK9CBKJT which I had originally ordered just to protect from the sun but it turns out it works great as a cover up while nursing! Nobody can see in and he used to just nurse and fall asleep under it while baby wearing!

I have this iPlay hat, and I actually have it in the 9-18 month size. If I tighten the drawstring all the way it fits my 4-month old, who has a big head. I imagine the 0-6 month size would fit smaller babies pretty well. :)

We put a floppy sun hat on my son when he was tiny and he didn't mind at all! iPlay makes great ones, we've used them since the start and LO still uses them now that he's 3 :)

My favorite gifts to give (mom of 3 under 5) are, Rain or Shine Kids Woobee Blanket (tie it to anything, make it a nursing cover and it's waterproof), aiden+anaïs muslin swaddle blankets (swaddle, nurse, play), a nice sun hat, or some side snap shirts size 0-3 months(great for baby before the umbilical cord comes off).

I'm a big boy now

Congrats I am just starting to potty train my 2 yr old.

I'd get something like this for when the baby gets here

I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00BR0WUCI/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Not a perfect match but I think it looks good and it's decent quality unlike most baby size cowboy hats!

I'm a librarian, I'm good at research. :D

Here it is for sale on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/San-Diego-Hat-Company-Christmas/dp/B003BEDRGG

We bought this! We bought the size up though so we didn’t have to buy it twice. It has a drawstring in the back to tighten and two strings that tie around the neck!

Rash guards from Target, Old Navy, and The Children's Place have all been used in my house for my very white household. We also do a hat like this ...and we have never had a problem with babies keeping them on. They might argue at the start, but the hotter it gets, the less they fight.

You also have to REAPPLY SUNSCREEN EVERY 2 HOURS to actually get it to work. Dry them off with a towel, reapply, make them wait a few minutes before getting wet again.

ETA: Always a 2-piece b/c diapers. Also, swim diapers are only to hold poo next to the body until you can get them out of the water - it does not absorb or stop liquids. So do not rely on it in the car on the way to the beach. Change on the beach!

And baby powder for after. Towel dry/drip dry the wettest areas...then just cover in baby powder and it helps dry you and the sand comes off your body.

Your hospital doesn't provide hats? Ours did. The one we were sent home in (end of May, so plenty warm out ) was just a light cotton hat, like these, rather than a heavy knitted one.

This is the first time in my Reddit career that I'm the guy who found a link!
