Hello! We just launched a new dance board (made in the USA!) that improves upon what the turnboard offers.

The Turning Pointe can be used on carpet but the most exciting feature is that there is a relevé platform! This board is for dancers of all levels and really aids in getting you all the way to your pirouette goals. Also unique to the Turning Pointe is that it has a borderless design so it won't dig into your feet and it is make of completely solid, eco-friendly material making it the most durable board on the market!

You can learn more here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072KJLV6K

If you are interested in purchasing it, I will send you a 50% off code. Just email me at love@jeballet.com !

// , This sounds like the most flexible solution, although I do eventually want to buy a dance shoe.

I've found suede stick-ons on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/YAVOUN-Friction-reducing-Self-Adhesive-High-Heeled-Protector/dp/B07G116VL2/

I've considered adding these to something like the Merrell Vapor Glove or the vivobarefoot.com shoes mentioned above.

Vibram soles are pretty good for adhering, but I'm willing to keep a few spare pads of suede just in case.

We used this (it is a big elastic band that you use to stretch and point your foot against, along with some crazier stretches that the amazon model apparently had to do to sell the thing): https://www.amazon.com/SUPERIORBAND-Ballet-Stretch-Gymnastics-Training/dp/B00J1QXDQ2/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1465793975&sr=8-5&keywords=feet+stretcher

There is no quick fix. You need to understand that first and foremost.

What you need to do is work on lots of releves both in your pointes and your flats.

Invest in a Theraband and work on stretching your legs and ankles really well every night. You might even invest in one of these, although I've never used one.

Can I ask how long you've been dancing and how old you are?

Could you post a link to what you're talking about?

Edit: Is this it?
