That’s pretty good! I have a Haakaa too but I’ve enjoyed using these breast shells to catch my let down while I’m feeding. I only have about 20 oz in the fridge right now so I really want to build up more.

They are these little silver cups that you use to cover your nipples to let them heal between nursing sessions. They are expensive but were really helpful for me.

Yea I'd totally be interested. I used a nipple cream made from bees wax that was the bee's knees. I had never used a product with beeswax before, but it sparked my interest.

If your breastfeeding grab lanolin and those booby pads:) You can freeze them or warm them up! Freezing helps with pain, and warming helps with milk flow.

They are called Booby Tubes!

Also, get some movies and snacks so you have something to do while baby is eating, the last thing you would want to do is fall asleep:)

sexy nipples. I think those need some suction cups!

u/sqqueen · 11 pointsr/bigboobproblems

Not sure how much you're really looking to conquer those nipples. If hiding them is absolutely your goal, these will work. They're made of hard plastic for nursing moms: they catch leaks. You don't need that feature. But the outer shell is a good 3/4 inches from the inner shell, so your nipples can be huge and not even touch the outer shell.

For the price (less than $10), maybe worth a try?

My only idea is wearing milk savers like these while you feed LO at night so you don't lose out on that milk.

They're amazing

Lanolin. I use the type that's made for breast feeding nipple relief, but that shit is magic. If I ever let my lips get to the cracked painful point, using lanolin on them has them heeled and back to good within like a day and a half. The tube lasts forever cause you just need a little bit. Highly highly recommended.

I'm pretty partial to this one. It's kinda pricey but it's fabulously soothing, and smells wonderful. A little goes a long way too I still haven't gone through all mine in 18 months. Which i don't use it super often mostly just when toddler was teething badly when he was a bit younger and his latch suffered. But when he was a newborn i used lanolin until my husband bought me this because i dont like lanolin's greasy feel. After that this is all I've ever used

I wear them in between feeding and on the opposite side so the letdown isn’t wasted. I just make sure I’m dumping it whenever I feed so it doesn’t go bad. I get about 1-2 ounces at a time too. It’s my first time successfully breast feeding so I went all out on stuff !

I would recommend these!. I never had it while pregnant, but I did get crazy itchy while nursing and this helped the chaffed and itchy nipples :)

If your not ready to quit, then don't. Just put your mind to it. Pump at night to make up the difference you need to if you can, if not a little extra bottle of formula truly isn't the end of the world, there are also milk banks and pages on Facebook from what I understand. I don't use that type of social media so I am not familiar enough to advise.

I use medela adapters for spectra [medela flange] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000A88JZA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_biWxDbRMQ6AN7) and the pumpin pals, I use the blue silicon insert flange.

The first few times I pumped with it I felt like I wasied 40 dollars, but I stuck with it and my overall yield increased by more than 2 to 3 oz for the day. I don't pump a solid bottle every time I sit down at my pump, sometimes its a 2 or 3 oz bottle, next time it may be a 5 or 6 oz bottle. I don't go by what I pump per session, I try not to count, that's stressful. Now if I start having multiple days with 2 oz bottles all day then I know I need to add some power pumping in for a few days.

If you decide to use pumpin pals or want expert advice call the customer service department, the owner will answer the phone, he is extremely kind and knowledgeable when it comes to pumping even if you don't purchase his product. My second on flange, if you don't want to spend 40 dollars is the lactek, they are decent and better than the standard flange.

I have absolutely no nipple pain, sensitivity, or swelling post pump when using the pumpin pals. Those with a little nipple balm and a good forward lean feel as close to nursing at home as it gets imo.

I’m not going to lie, it’s hard at first. With my first, it was horribly painful for 2-3 weeks. We had a solid latch, it’s just that your nipples aren’t used to it. I’ll link my go to nipple relief below. Let the baby nurse as often as they want. I honestly just pushed through the pain. My LO is an evening cluster feeder and I just let it happen. Of course if you begin to get cracked/bleeding nipples, speak to a LC or doc! Because of the products I used, I never had this issue. Some women may not be a fan of my approach, but I’ve never had supply issues. Sure, I’ve cried in the shower a few times and was very sleep deprived but that’s all passed. We’re 3 month in now and having no problems or pain!

Also, don’t let other people get in your head. I have a couple aunts who grew up in the formula age and we’re very unsupportive. I just ignore them as I whip a boob out. 😂
